34-weeks.jpgLook at that belly!  It is getting tight in there :)

Another baby shower for Joelle last Saturday with her girlfriends from our Bible study.  Again, the amount of time, thought, cash-ola, and genuine care that went into this event was humbling.  We received some very wonderful gifts for our daughter and are quite blessed to have the friends and family that make our lives rich.

Joelle has our bags packed and ready for the delivery room….although I should probably check to see what’s in my bag….to make sure she didn’t forget my superman underoos.

Sorry, I can’t seem to keep track of what week we are on!  Time is just flying by and we would appreciate more of it….so if there’s anything you all could do it about it…we’d be grateful :)

Joelle had her first baby shower last weekend over at her mom’s house in San Marcos!  It was fun…from what I hear…I wasn’t actually there of course….I had manly things to do….like picking paint colors for our little girl’s room.  There were about 30 women who came out to bless my wife….and if you were one of them…thank you so much.  My mom, Joelle’s mom, and my sister-in-law put so much effort into that shower….it was amazing.  The theme for the shower was ladybugs….which will be all over the nursery.  Hopefully I can post some photos from the event soon.

Here are a couple of photos we took at the beach yesterday (while the Chargers were being humbled).

31-weeks.jpgJoelle is still feeling good with her big old belly.  I can feel her (the baby) move around a lot more now which is a treat for dad. We are still working on a name…well…not really.  We haven’t even brought it up in the past several months.  I’m sure it will come to us eventually.

I hope everybody had a great new year’s eve and day….we at the Grove household were quite boring and we don’t even have any kids yet.  Why do I feel like I’m 50?  So, any resolutions this year besides ‘be a better person’?  If I was to resolve something for the new year…it would be to get closer to the Lord, be a servant, and remember His promises to me through His word.  He has been so good to me and Joelle….so faithful….so merciful….so loving.  I owe all to Him.

It rained here over the weekend again…but nothing close to the ‘monster storm’ that the news people predicted.  They always hype everything up to the point where you think we’re gonna need an ark!  We need the rain….but it just sets my yard work back further while the ground dries out.

Good news for Charger fans everwhere….we finally won a post-season playoff game.  True, we have had the talent to do it for the past three years and also could’ve been superbowl worthy…but we choked.  Let’s hope we can keep this up on the road against Indy.

peace out
